Briefly... Ian Elliott enters his fourth and final season of collegiate water polo at LMU... named honorable mention All-American and first-team All-WWPA... earning all-conference for the third consecutive season... team captain for 2006 squad... enters final season as possibly one of the best goalies in LMU history with 823 career saves and a goals against average of 6.83...

At LMU...2005... finished the season among the top-five nationally in saves with 304 while allowing just 6.64 goals per game... played in every game and appeared in net for 135 of the Lions' 140 quarters... made 25 saves in the two NCAA tournament games to earn All-Tournament honors... in the three WWPA Tournament games, Elliott made 37 saves, including 15 in the championship game against UC San Diego (11-19-05)... set a career-high with 17 saves against the Tritons earlier in the year (10-29-05)... had 12 games with 10 or more saves, including six out of the Lions' last eight games... 2004...allowed just five goals in win over Princeton during NCAA tournament, finished with 15 saves... wrapped season with 266 saves and a goals against average of 7.15... got hot late into the season for the Lions, including his 10 save performance in the WWPA championship game... he helped the Lions go 3-0 in overtime games and made 10 or more saves in 12 games... he set a career-high with 17 saves in the win over Air Force (11-6-04) and his 13 saves in both wins over fifth-ranked UC Irvine (10-3-04 & 11-4-04) helped LMU get as high as sixth in the national rankings... 2003... finished the season with 253 saves while playing in every game for the Lions... allowed 6.7 goals per game... established himself among one of the top goalies in the nation during the SoCal Invitational in September... made 16 saves against UC Davis (9/12/03) and then made 53 saves in four games during SoCal... on the season he had 11 games with 10 or more saves... had 20 saves in two games during the NCAA tournament...

High School... Graduated from Foothill High School in 2002... earned eight varsity letters in high school, four in water polo and four in surfing... was a two-time All-American, earning first-team honors as both a junior and a senior... worked out with the Junior National team in 2001 and then with the Senior National team in 2002... was named the league MVP both as a junior and senior... also was named Foothill High School Athlete of the Year, winning the Foothill Knight Award his final two seasons...

Personal... Ian Hunter Elliott was born on May 21, 1984 in Vernal, UT... he is the son of Robyn and Mike Shaw (step-father) and John Elliott... has one sister, Kaitlin... an International Business major and Graphic Design minor.
