Lions Pull Away From Lancers in 11-7 Win

The LMU men's water polo team used a 4-0 scoring run in the third quarter to pull away for an 11-7 win over visiting Cal Baptist Thursday at the Burns Recreation Center. The Lions improve to 12-6 overall with the non-conference win while Cal Baptist falls to 20-8 on the year.

Highlights At LMU... 2011... played all 25 games, scoring 17 goals on 47 shots... added a team-best 30 field blocks with 30 steals (second on the team)... added 10 assists and 10 kickouts drawn... 2010... played in all 29 games, scoring seven goals on 22 attempts... added 18 steals and 13 field blocks... drew 21 ejections...2009... played in all 28 games on the season... scored six goals on 19 attempts... added a career best 16 steals... scored twice against both UC Davis and UC Santa Barbara 2008... played in 24 games and finished with five goals in nine attempts (55.6 percent)... had 15 steals... scored first goal of career against Long Beach State (9/7/08)... 2007... served his redshirt season in 2007...

Personal... Charles Thomas Horton was born on Dec. 30, 1988 in Seattle, Wash., and is the son of Lisa and Thomas Horton... has two sisters... father played tennis at Whitman... earned his Bachelors in Business Administration and is currently working toward his Masters in Business Administration.
