Briefly... Jon Colton is in his final season of college water polo at LMU after transferring from Cal in 2009... he was with the Bears for one season, serving his redshirt year in 2008... .

Honors... 2011... honorable mention ACWPC All-American... was named First-Team All-WWPA... WWPA All-Academic...2010... was named first-team WWPA All-Tournament... 2010 WWPA All-Academic...

Highlights At LMU... 2011... played in all 25 games for the Lions, scoring 24 goals with 12 assists, 16 steals and a team-best 71 kickouts drawn... he drew a kickoff in 24 of the Lions' 25 games, including six against Navy and UC San Diego... scored three goals in the Lions' win over UC San Diego at home (10/21/11)... 2010... played in all 29 games in his second season with the Lions... finished with nine goals, three assists, 24 kickouts drawn, 17 steals and 11 field blocks.. scored three goals, a season-best, against Santa Clara in WWPA semifinal... scored a goal with a field block and an assist in the WWPA final...2009... played all 28 games, scoring six goals with three assists, 21 kickouts drawn, 14 steals and 11 field blocks...

Prior to LMU... graduated from Northwood High School in 2008 with a 3.9 GPA... went to Cal one season and was on men's water polo team... did not play and served redshirt year... at Northwood (in Irvine, Calif.), he was a four-year letterwinner for coach Chris French... he scored 270 goals with 145 assists and 182 steals during his career... he was a four-time All-Sea View League selection... he was a All-CIF Division I selection his final three years... he earned honorable mention All-American honors as a sophomore, second-team honors as a junior and first-team honors as a senior... he was two-time offensive MVP, two-time defensive MVP...

Personal... Jonathon Jerome Colton was born on Dec. 27, 1989 in Long Beach, Calif., and is the son of Rinske and Keith Colton... he has two brothers and a sister... sister, Cara, played for the Lions... a Business Administration major.
