Prior to LMU... graduated from DeSmet Jesuit High School in Saint Louis, Mo., in 2010 with a 4.0 GPA... played water polo, basketball and swam in high school, earning 10 letters in the process... had 106 goals to set school record as a junior, then followed with 87 as a senior... was a three-time All-State selection and three-time All-Suburban Central selection... helped team win state championship in 2010 and was named Player of the Year as a junior and senior... played for the 2009 USA ODP Midwest Zone Junior Team... was a Scholar-Athlete award winner all four years and earned the President's Education Award in recognition of Outstanding Academic Excellence.

Matthew Stephen Stipanovich was born on June 8, 1992 in St. Louis, Mo., and is the son of Janice and Mike Stipanovich... he has two brothers and two sisters... he was a volunteer for Missouri Special Olympics and did volunteer work for "Christmas on Campus," which benefits children... an Accounting major.
