Prior to LMU... graduated from Villa Park High School in 2007 with a 4.3 GPA... a four-time scholar-athlete... a four-year letterwinner for coach John Carrich... he was a four-time letterwinner in both swimming and water polo, earning three All-CIF honors and All-America honors as a senior... he was also a two-time first-team All-Century League selection... scored 82 goals with 62 assists and 61 steals as a senior... finished with 202 goals, 137 assists and 216 steals at Villa Park...

Albert Louis Kugler Samuels was born on March 7, 1989 in Newport Beach, Calif., and is the son of Elizabeth and Martin Samuels... has a sister, who swims at LMU, and a brother... volunteered at Adopt-a-Family and Orange County Rescue Mission... earned Bachelors in Business Administration in May and is in the M.B.A. program.
