Lions Win Seventh Straight
Lions score 38 in second day of Gary Troyer Tournament to post a pair of wins.

CLAREMONT, Calif. -- The ninth-ranked LMU men's water polo team ran their winning streak to seven games thanks scoring 38 goals in a pair of wins in the second day of the Gary Troyer Claremont Convergence on Saturday afternoon. The Lions improve to 11-6 on the season.
The Lions opened with a 16-1 win over Iona at Pomona-Pitzer's Haldeman Pool and followed that with a 22-9 win over Harvard at Claremont's Axelrood Pool.
In the win over Iona, the Lions led 5-1 after one and then scored the game's final 11 goals. Freshman Milutin Mitrovic led the team with five goals while Seth Coldren scored three.
The box score were not available after the game in the win over Harvard.
The Lions will have their seven-game win streak put to the ultimate test when they host top-ranked USC at the Burns Aquatics Center on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m.
