Water Polo Falls in WWPA Action
Lions fall to UC Davis, 12-10, on Friday in Western Water Polo Association action.

LOS ANGELES -- LMU men's water polo dropped a 12-10 decision in Western Water Polo Association action to 17th-ranked UC Davis on Friday afternoon at the Burns Aquatics Center. A five-goal second quarter by the Aggies was the difference.
UC Davis trailed 3-2 after the first quarter but outscored the Lions 5-2 in the second quarter to take the lead, one they would never let go of. Sophomore Milutin Mitrovic scored four goals for the Lions (11-11, 1-2 in WWPA), while Bernie Rogers had five goals to pace the Aggies (10-12, 2-0).
The home stand for the Lions will continue during "First Look Week" at LMU as the 2013-14 basketball season tips off and the WCC cross country championships are in Southern California for the first time since the 1980s.
The week of activities continues on Saturday with the WCC Championships for men's and women's cross country. In Southern California for the first time since the 1980s, the championships will take place on the campus of Pepperdine University at 9 am. Click Here for more information.
Following the WCC Championships, will be the women's volleyball taking on ranked San Diego in a key WCC match on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 12 noon. That night, the LMU men's basketball team will give fans their first look to the 2013-14 squad as they play their lone exhibition game, taking on Cal Lutheran at 7:30 pm.
On Sunday, Nov. 3 men's water polo is back in action when they host school rival Santa Clara at the Burns Aquatics Center at 11 am. The First Look Week will end on Monday, Nov. 4 when the women's basketball team gives their first look to fans when they face Cal State San Bernardino in their lone exhibition at 7 pm
