Water Polo in WWPA Championship
For seventh consecutive year the Lions are in the WWPA Championship game with win over UC Davis.

Pomona, CA (Nov. 18) -- The Loyola Marymount men's water polo team, ranked eighth in the nation, defeated 14th-ranked UC Davis 6-3 in the semifinals of the 2006 Western Water Polo Association on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Pomona Pitzer. It is the seventh straight year the Lions have made it to the championship tilt, winning it four of the last five years.
The Lions Brian McShane had a pair of goals as they improve to 18-12 on the season. They will face yet again fifth-ranked UC San Diego in the title game at 3 p.m. The Tritons and the Lions have played each other in six of the last seven title games.
It will be the fourth meeting of the season between the two, all one-point affairs in favor of the Tritons.
