Men's water polo falls to Santa Clara, 12-7, in season finale.

DAVIS, Calif. -- LMU men's water polo fell to Santa Clara, 12-7, in the consolation final of the 2013 Western Water Polo Association Men's Championships on Sunday afternoon at Schaal Aquatics Center.
The Lions (13-15) saw Santa Clara score six straight goals after the Lions took an early lead to pull away early. Freshman Cory McGee scored a pair of goals for the Lions.
LMU took a 1-0 lead and a 2-1 lead early. The Broncos scored on a 6-on-5 with 2:33 to play in the first quarter. It started SCU's six-goal stretch as they built a 7-2 lead. A penalty goal and another 6-on-5 made it 9-3 heading into the fourth quarter.
Santa Clara goalie Matt Pritchett had 16 saves.
