LOS ANGELES --LMU men's water polo has made four new additions to their roster, all of which will begin competition with the Lions in their 2014 season. The new class includes a mid-semester transfer from West Valley Community College and another three high school standouts signing National Letters of Intent to join in the fall of 2014.

West Valley transfer Daniel Camburn joined the program this January and is working out with the team this spring, while high school standouts Dominick Beaudine (Agoura HS), Tim Shaw (Northwood HS) and Davis Waugh (Loyola HS) all signed NLIs.

"We are very excited for this young class," said Head Coach John Loughran. "They all come from backgrounds of successful water polo and fit the needs we have to put us back at the top of the Western Water Polo Association."

Beaudine, a goalie from Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, is a member of the USA National Youth Team and team captain for the team that went to Argentina in 2013. He helped lead Agoura to CIF championships all four seasons (2010-13) and was a three-time All-CIF First-Team selection (2011-13).

Tim Shaw

In addition, he was the Daily News Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013, VC Star Player of the Year in 2012 and the Goalkeeper of the Year in the Marmonte League three times (2011-13). He was California-Hawaii All-American in 2012 and 2013, earning second-team both times.

Another Southern California standout in goal is Shaw, a three-time All-League selection for Northwood High School in Irvine, Calif. Shaw was MVP of the SoPac Olympic Development team as a freshman and then went on to hear honorable mention All-League honors in leading team to the CIF semifinals as a sophomore.

As a junior, Shaw was an honorable mention All-League selection and led the Pacific Coast League in saves. He would repeat the efforts as a senior.

Davis Waugh

Playing for Loyola High School, Waugh helped the team to the Mission League title in 2011 and 2012 and then to the semifinals of the CIF Southern Sections in 2011, 2012 and 2013. While playing for Trojan Water Polo Club, Waugh helped them to a third place finish at the Classic Division of the Junior Olympics in Orange County in 2013 and to a fourth place finish at the same event at Stanford in 2012.

As for Camburn, he played the last two seasons for West Valley College in Saratoga, Calif. He graduated from Homestead High School in 2011. He was a senior first-team All-Central Coast Section, a Central Coast section senior All-Star, a SCVAL First-Team All-League, Team MVP and Team Captain. As a junior he was a SCVAL DeAnza Division All-League selection.
