Another No. 1 in Lions Athletic Fund Game
Men's water polo continues grueling stretch of games as they return home to face No. 1 UCLA on Saturday.

LOS ANGELES -- The eighth-ranked LMU men's water polo team and their stretch of games against some of the nation's best continues as a grueling stretch comes to a close at home on Saturday against the nation's best. LMU will face No. 1 UCLA on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Burns Aquatics Center at 1 pm.
Saturday's game is presented by the Lions Athletic Fund and ticket sales will benefit the LMU men's water polo program. The Lions Athletic Fund: More than 400 student-athletes, hundreds of faculty and staff throughout campus, countless alums and fans world wide join together to become LMU Lions. This will be the 10th straight match-up for the Lions against the nation's top-20, the seventh against a top-10 and second against the nation's No. 1. The Lions are 4-5 in those games and 5-5 overall entering Saturday.
Heading into the grueling stretch, the LMU Sports Network sat down with seniors Gavyn Wild and John Mikuzis to talk about many things, including the excitement around this year's very young team. They are the only two seniors on the squad, which features 20 underclassmen among its 25 players.
