LOS ANGELES -- LMU men's water polo returns home for just the second time on the season, riding a seven-game winning streak. The streak will be put to the ultimate test as the Lions will host top-ranked USC on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Burns Aquatics Center for a TeamLMU showdown at 1 p.m.
The Lions started their winning streak at the SoCal Invitational on Sept. 29-30 and extended it to seven with a four-game sweep last weekend. They set at 11-6 overall on the season and are ranked ninth as they welcome the unbeaten Trojans to the Burns Center on Saturday.
Freshman Milutin Mitrovic paced the offensive attack for the Lions, scoring 17 goals last weekend, including six against Harvard and five in the wins against both Redlands and Iona. He added seven assists and four steals. Seth Coldren added 11 goals with five assists while Collin Walters had nine goals, nine assists, five kickouts drawn and three steals. Mitrovic leads the team with 49 goals, followed by John Mikuzis with 30 goals and Coldren with 24.

This is the first of two back-to-back TeamLMU games for the Lions. The featured event of the week, the Lions will also welcome rival UC San Diego to the Burns Aquatics Center on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 12 p.m.
