LOS ANGELES -- The LMU men's water polo team will head north for a pair of key Western Water Polo Association showdowns on Friday and Saturday. The Lions will open with No. 16 UC Davis under the lights on Oct. 26 at 6 p.m., followed by Santa Clara on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Lions are 11-9 on the season and 7-2 against WWPA foes heading into the weekend. UC Davis is 12-13 overall on the year and 10-3 in conference, while Santa Clara is 9-13 overall and 6-6.

Following the trip to the Bay Area, the Lions will return home to face 13th-ranked Air Force in Senior Day on Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. Air Force, along with UC Davis, LMU and UC San Diego are logged jammed at the top of the WWPA. UC San DIego is 8-2 while AFA is 7-3.

On the offensive side of the ball, freshman Milutin Mitrovic continues to shine in his first season, leading the team with 53 goals. John Mikuzis is second with 30, followed by Seth Coldren with 27 and Walters with 23. Walters has been a stat-stuffer this season, adding a team-best 22 assists and 24 kick outs drawn.
