Homestand, WWPA Stretch Begins Sunday
After nine-game stretch away from home, Lions begin five-game home stand with WWPA defending champs.

LOS ANGELES -- LMU men's water polo last played at home on Sept. 28. Nine games and nearly two months have passed and the Lions will finally return home, playing their final five games of the regular season at the Burns Aquatics Center.
The next four are all in conference play as the Lions will face four straight Western Water Polo Association foes. It begins on Sunday, Oct. 27 when the Lions host the WWPA defending champion Air Force Falcons at 12 noon.
LMU enters the game at 10-10 overall and 0-1 in the WWPA, while Air Force is 5-10 overall and 1-1 in the WWPA after falling to UC San Diego, 15-10, Friday night. The Lions are ranked tied for 13th in the latest national poll while Air Force is 20th. All six teams in the WWPA are ranked in the top-20 this season.
The home stand for the Lions will continue during "First Look Week" at LMU as the 2013-14 basketball season tips off and the WCC cross country championships are in Southern California for the first time since the 1980s.
The week include men's water polo taking on WWPA foe UC Davis on Friday, Nov. 1 at 3 pm. Then on Saturday, the WCC Championships for men's and women's cross country will take place on the campus of Pepperdine University. Click Here for more information.
Following the WCC Championships, will be the women's volleyball taking on ranked San Diego in a key WCC match on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 12 noon. That night, the LMU men's basketball team will give fans their first look to the 2013-14 squad as they play their lone exhibition game, taking on Cal Lutheran at 7:30 pm.
On Sunday, Nov. 3 men's water polo is back in action when they host school rival Santa Clara at the Burns Aquatics Center at 11 am. The First Look Week will end on Monday, Nov. 4 when the women's basketball team gives their first look to fans when they face Cal State San Bernardino in their lone exhibition at 7 pm
