Senior Day Wraps Up Regular Season
Men's water polo will host eighth-ranked Long Beach State in final game of regular season.

LOS ANGELES -- The LMU men's water polo team will wrap-up the regular season on Thursday when they host eighth-ranked Long Beach State at the Burns Aquatics Center at 3 pm.
This will be the fourth meeting between 15th-ranked LMU (12-12) and the 49ers (18-10) this season. They last met on Oct. 12 at the UC Irvine Invitational. Long Beach State took that won 10-7.
It will be the final home game for the lone senior on the roster, John Mikuzis. He has missed the last seven games with a concussion is out the rest of the season. He finishes his career playing in 84 games and with 18 goals this season, finishes with 90 in his career, tied for 22nd all-time at LMU. He also finishes with a shooting percentage of 52.6 while drawing 111 exclusions in his career.
Moving up the record books as well this season is sophomore Milutin Mitrovic. The second-year attacker is 13th all-time with 134 career goals one shy of tying John Peterson for 12th. He has 62 this season to lead the Lions. He also had 35 assists this season, ranking tied for eighth for a single season. He has 57 in his career, ranking 13th in the LMU record books.
The top-four scorers for the Lions are underclassmen, including sophomore Vuk Cvetkovic with 25. He also has missed the last seven games due to injury. Tied with 20 goals each are sophomore Emanuel Di Stasio and freshman Cory McGee.
The Lions will then head to the 2013 WWPA Championships hosted by UC Davis. LMU will open with Air Force on Friday, Nov. 22 at 12:15.
