Head Coach Charity Elliott is excited to announce the reorganization of her staff as well as a new face on the sidelines for the upcoming 2013-14 season.
Brittney Taylor begins her second season as a member of the LMU women's basketball coaching staff in 2013-14.
Taylor was a four-year women's basketball standout at NCAA Division II Humboldt State University from 2007-10. A Daktronics All-American and All-Region selection her senior season in 2009-10, Taylor departed the Lumberjack program ranking No. 2 in career scoring (1,294), No. 2 in career field goals (493), No. 3 in career free throws (293) and No. 6 in career rebounding (597). She also established the highest single-season scoring mark (562 points in 2009-10). A two-time first team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association selection, Taylor led HSU to a program best 24 wins in 2008-09. She also earned National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American honors in 2010.
After earning her bachelor of science degree in kinesiology/exercise science in December of 2010, Taylor signed a professional contract overseas, competing for Reus Deportiu in Barcelona, Spain in 2010-11.
Taylor returned to Humboldt State in 2011-12, serving as an assistant coach.
The Playa Del Rey native who prepped at El Segundo High School, is pursuing her masters degree in counseling at LMU.
