A 2006 graduate of Boise High School in Boise, ID... a three year letterwinner for Kim Brydges and Harry Angelos... the Gatorade Idaho Player of the Year... a first team All-State selection as a senior, and a two-time All-Southern Idaho Conference honoree... named All-City and All-Treasure Valley Area as a junior and a senior... led her team to a 21-5 record as a senior, winning the consolation championship in the state tournament... she averaged 10.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in the state tournament... in her senior year, she averaged 8.8 points and 6.6 rebounds while shooting 52% from the field... helped lead her team to a state championship as a junior, and averaged 6.5 points and 5.8 rebounds in her junior year... also played volleyball in her junior and senior year, earning first team All-State and All-Conference honors after leading her team to a fourth place finish in the state.
Maggie Evelyn Burkett was born on August 24, 1988 in Nampa, ID... the daughter of Sharon and Mike Burkett... is the youngest of four children... has an older sister, Sara, and two older brothers, Ike and Tom... also considered Utah State, Montana State and Seattle University... chose LMU for the competitive basketball program and the education.
