Kavita Goss begins her fourth year at LMU... a fine outside shooter who grew more comfortable and confident as a freshman... very smart player... executes plays to near perfection... extremely competitive... tough... a gym rat.

At LMU...
Played in 28 games for the Lions... seventh in career threes with 78... averaged 3.9 ppg and 13.6 minutes per game off the bench... third on the team with 28 three-pointers made... knocked down three three-pointers in season-opener vs. the University of Hawaii... sank six three-pointers in the triple overtime game vs. Arizona, finishing with a career-high 21 points in 32 minutes... had all 10 of LMU's points in the second overtime of that game and 13 in a row at one point... scored 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting at Cal Poly... season-high five rebounds vs. Long Beach State... recorded three assists and four points vs. Idaho State...

A National Scholar-Athlete... played in 29 games and started one... averaged 5.0 ppg and had 19 assists and 14 steals on the season... hit 28 three-pointers in providing outstanding play off the bench... led the Lions with career-high 17 points, 14 in the first half, on five three-pointers and adding four assists at Georgetown... made first start of the season at Santa Clara, scoring game-high 13 points... also had 13 points at Pepperdine... scored then-career-high 12 points with three steals at #12 Cal... scored 10 points at Gonzaga... had then-career-high nine points in 14 minutes at Long Beach State... also scored nine points vs. Indiana State and at Portland... scored six points at NAU, at #22 George Washington, and at USF... had five points vs. CSUB, vs. Kansas State, and vs. San Francisco... had four points and three assists vs. UC Irvine... had three points in the WCC Tournament against Saint Mary's...scored three points with three rebounds vs. Cal Poly... had two points vs. San Diego... dished three assists vs. Gonzaga... had three rebounds vs. Santa Clara... played seven minutes vs. Pepperdine... played three minutes vs. UC Santa Barbara... played one minute at Boise State and vs. Fresno State...

Appeared in every game, starting 14.., averaged 3.1 points while hitting 22 three-pointers, second-most on the team... played well as a starter... averaged almost 25 minutes per game in her 11 regular season starts... also averaged 4.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and almost 2:1 assist/turnover ratio in her 11 starts... in the eight games before her first start, she averaged 6.8 minutes and 1.5 points per game... scored her first career point against Texas A&M, with five points against the Aggies... broke into the starting lineup at point guard against Hawaii, playing at then career-high 31 minutes... was steady in her first start, dishing out five assists and hitting a three pointer as the shot clock was winding down, giving the Lions its first lead of the game... followed that up with another strong performance against UCSB, finishing with four points, seven rebounds, four assists, a block and a steal in 34 minutes of action... broke her career high with six points (two three pointers) against Fresno State... also added four assists with no turnovers in the road win... continued her steady play in the Cyclone Classic, scoring seven points with no turnovers against Colgate, and six points with just one turnover against Iowa State... moved back into the starting line-up the final home weekend... had four rebounds at Pepperdine... broke her career high with eight points at Saint Mary's... Director's List Fall 2006 and Spring 2007...

A 2006 graduate of Newbury Park High School in Newbury Park, CA... a four year letterwinner for coach Nori Parvin... a two-time All-State selection and three-time All-CIF Divisions 3-AA and 2-AA selection... the 2006 Ventura County Female Athlete of the Year (all sports included)... owns five school records - single season points, single game points, career assists, single season and career 3 pointers made... named the Ventura County Player of the Year and Marmonte League MVP as a senior... averaged 17.9 points, 4.2 assists, 6.8 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game in her senior year... a three-time All-Area honoree... a four year starter... also played volleyball for two years...

Kavita Patel Goss was born on May 17, 1988 in Thousand Oaks, CA... daughter of Bharti and Kenneth Goss... Has two older brothers, Keith and Denis... father played baseball at Cal State Northridge... earned numerous academic awards, including Highest Superintendent's Honor Roll, Principal Scholar-Athlete, four years on the Honor Roll, California Scholarship Foundation for four years, a four-year Ventura County Scholar Athlete, and the National Honor Society... participated in the Health Science Majors Program... recruited by numerous schools, including UCLA, Santa Clara, Gonzaga, Oregon State, Dartmouth and Colorado State... chose LMU for the coaching staff, the campus, the location and academic reputation.
