Tracey Wolff begins her first year on the LMU women's basketball staff in 2012.
"Tracey and I go all the way back to our time at Southwest Missouri State and we have continued to stay in touch over the years," LMU head coach Charity Elliott said. "She has previous experience at a Jesuit institution (Marquette) and has ties all over the country, primarily from her work with Athletes in Action. She has head coaching experience, is very steady as a person and a coach and brings a maturity and calmness."
Wolff began her coaching career as Southwest Missouri State (now Missouri State) where she served as a graduate assistant coach from 1989-90. She went on to serve as an assistant coach at Marquette University for 10 years (1991-2001). During that time, the Golden Eagles made six trips to the NCAA Tournament, including four straight from 1997-2000.
At Marquette, Wolff was instrumental in recruiting the 1996-97 freshman class, which was ranked #12 in the nation by the Blue Star Index, coached 12 all-conference selections and had 36 of 37 student-athletes complete their degrees.
Wolff spent seven years (2001-08) working for Athletes in Action, serving as the head coach of the USA women's basketball team from 2001-05 and the Director of Women's Basketball for the USA team from 2005-08. She recruited four WNBA draft picks, four NCAA Division II All-Americans, two All-Canadians, two NAIA All-Americans and countless all-conference players to volunteer to compete on the AIA exhibition teams.
Most recently, Wolff has worked for Mercy Ministries of America where she served as a fitness and Education Manager from 2008-10 and a Fitness and Nutrition Manager from 2010-11.
