LOS ANGELES -- The Loyola Marymount women's basketball team is Las Vegas bound for the 2018 West Coast Conference Tournament. The Lions went 19-10 overall this season and 11-7 in conference play to earn the fourth seed, and will match up against the fifth-seeded San Francisco Dons (15-14, 10-8 WCC) on Thursday, March 1 at 8 p.m. at the Orleans Arena.

The Lions and Dons are meeting in the tournament's quarterfinals for a second straight year. Last March, San Francisco defeated Loyola Marymount 80-67 in a game full of runs. The two teams split the season series 1-1, with each team picking up a win on their home floor. In the last matchup at LMU on Feb. 17, The Lions earned a 65-60 victory over the Dons as freshman Chelsey Gipson tallied a season-high 16 points.
The winner of Thursday night's game will take on the Gonzaga Bulldogs on Monday, March 5 at 12 p.m. (noon).
