LMU Women’s Basketball To Compete At 2018 Puerto Rico Classic

The Loyola Marymount women’s basketball team will travel to Puerto Rico this December for the 2018 Puerto Rico Classic, a high-level women’s college basketball tournament organized by Sport Tours International. The Lions are one of four teams to be participating in the Puerto Rico Classic, with games to be played over three days from Dec. 19-21 at Mario Morales Coliseum in Guaynabo. Joining LMU in the tournament will be Grambling State, South Dakota and the 2018 WNIT Champions, Indiana.

“We are excited to be participating in the Puerto Rico Classic against some great competition and in such a historic and beautiful location,” LMU head coach Charity Elliott said. “It’s going to be a very competitive tournament and we look forward to the challenge. Hoping to have some Lion fans join us on the trip!”

Teams from all over the nation have had the opportunity to compete against stellar opponents in a tropical setting buoyed by the warm hospitality of Puerto Rico.
