LOS ANGELES - Five new faces have joined the LMU women's basketball roster beginning in 2016-17 and the LMU Sports Network, along with host and senior guard Shelbi Aimonetti, is giving fans an inside look at the new players.

The series begins with freshman Cierra Belvin, who hails from Long Beach Poly High School. The 5-8 guard starred for the Jackrabbits, who finished the 2015-16 season with a 27-5 overall mark and perfect 12-0 Moore League record.

LBPHS reached the title game of the 2016 CIF Southern Section Championships, falling to Chaminade, 72-63. The title game appearance, however, earned them a spot in the 2016 CIF Open Division State Championship Tournament, where they advanced to the Regional Finals before falling once again to Chaminade.

Get the inside scoop on Cierra Belvin HERE, and continue to check back in with LMULions.com as the remaining members of the 2016 signing class take the spotlight in our "Get to Know the Newcomers" feature series.
