LOS ANGELES - Five new faces have joined the LMU women's basketball roster beginning in 2016-17 and the LMU Sports Network, along with host and senior guard Shelbi Aimonetti, is giving fans an inside look at the new players.

The series continues with this year's third and final freshman, Raychel Stanley, who prepped at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. Stanley wrapped up her prep career this past spring by leading the Gaels to a 29-2 overall record and perfect 8-0 Sunset-Southwest League record. The Gaels' season concluded with a loss to Centennial on Feb. 19 in the Regional Championship game of the 2016 NIAA Division I Girls Basketball Championships.

The 6-2 center was a Nevada Review-Journal First Team All-State selection, as well as a First Team All-League pick. She also earned her team's Nail Award (given to the teammate who is strong physically and mentally) and the Glue Award (given to the player who keeps the team together through difficult times).
