Chelsey Gipson, a 5-7 guard from Palisades High School, is in the No. 53 spot with ESPNW and came in at No. 107 on Prospect Nation. Jasmine Jones, a 5-10 forward out of Long Beach Polytechnic High School, is ranked No. 91 by ESPNW and No. 104 by Prospect Nation.

In addition, LMU’s 2017 recruiting class was ranked No. 44 nationally.

The Lions looks forward to Jones and Gipson joining the team and having a major impact on LMU’s success this season. The Lions also welcome freshman Aiyana Barnes from Long Beach Polytechnic High School to the roster this year as well.

Also, the team is eager to have redshirt juniors Josie Buckingham and Gabby Green hit the court this season. Both Buckingham and Green transferred to LMU and sat the 2016-17 season due to NCAA transfer rules. They are expected to make immense contributions to the Lions’ success in 2017-18.
