SAN BRUNO, Calif. – After leading Loyola Marymount to a 3-0 record on the week, junior Cheyanne Wallace has been named the West Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for November 27, 2017.
Wallace led LMU to wins over Arizona, Miami (Ohio) and Eastern Michigan last week while nearly averaging a double-double as the unbeaten Lions improved to a 6-0 record for the first time since the 2003-04 season.
The guard/forward scored 20-plus point in all three games – making it four consecutive over all competitions – after scoring 26 against Arizona, a career-high 30 against Miami (Ohio) and 22 against Eastern Michigan. She also pulled down nine, eight and eight rebounds, respectively.
For the week, Wallace averaged 26.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals over three contests while shooting 56.3 percent from the field.
