After being named Interim Head Coach in early July, her second stint under that title, former LMU rower Hanna Osborne has been named Head Coach of the Lion rowing program.
Osborne recently completed her third year on staff with the Lions after coaching for two years at Green Lake Crew in Seattle, Wash. and spent a summer season with the Pennsylvania Athletic Club. She has been involved with the rowing program at LMU since her competition days as a student-athlete beginning in 2009. As a senior, Osborne helped the Varsity 8+ to a victory over WCC-Champion Gonzaga in a head-to-head race and helped defend the Berg Cup with a victory in the Varsity 8+ race. In 2013, Osborne was named to the WCC All-Conference team. A Freshman Oarswoman of the Year, two-time Lion Pride award winner and member of SAAC while at LMU, she also served as team captain and raced in the varsity 8+ all four of her years as a student-athlete.
In her first stint as Interim Head Coach, Osborne led LMU through the spring racing season in 2016, culminating in a third-place finish in that year’s West Coast Conference Championships.
