Five Earn WCC Postseason Honors

Five Lions were honored Tuesday as the 2014 West Coast Conference Women's Soccer postseason awards were unveiled. Jenni Benger and Jocelyn Blankenship led the way with Second Team All-WCC honors while Morgan Hilby and Shannon Kent were Honorable Mention selections.

Four Earn WCC All-Academic Honors

Four Lions were named to the 2014 West Coast Conference Women's Soccer All-Academic Teams, the league office announced Friday. Leading the way for LMU was Jenni Benger, who earned First Team honors. Jocelyn Blankenship, Sophia Leksan and Cassidy Nicks were all named to the Honorable Mention Team.

Senior Saturday

The 2014 season comes to a close for LMU women's soccer on Saturday Nov. 8 as the Lions host West Coast Conference rival San Diego at 7 p.m. on Sullivan Field. LMU's trio of seniors - Jenni Benger, Amanda Dudley and Brianne Medved - will be honored in a brief ceremony prior to kick off.

Lions Fall to No. 12 Waves

The LMU women's soccer team wrapped up a three-match road swing and its final outing of the season away from Sullivan Field with a 3-1 setback to No. 12 Pepperdine Sunday afternoon.

Lions Face No. 12 Waves in PCH Cup

The final road game of the 2014 season is also one of the shortest trips of the year for LMU women's soccer as it travels 19 miles up the PCH on Sunday to face West Coast Conference rival Pepperdine in the annual Wells Fargo PCH Cup match. Kick off from Malibu is scheduled for 1 p.m.

1-0 Setback at Portland

The LMU women's soccer team closed out its Pacific Northwest swing with a 1-0 setback at Portland in West Coast Conference action Sunday afternoon at Merlo Field.
