Brandi Young begins her senior year at LMU... a true competitor on and off the field... will challenge for playing time in the midfield and defense...

At LMU... 2006... played in 19 games, starting 14... recorded one assist and took two shots... had assist on game's only goal against Oklahoma State (Sept. 10)... Dean's List Fall 2006 and Spring 2007...

2005... appeared in six games with her first career start against Navy (Sept. 4) at defense... played a season-high 56 minutes against Santa Clara (Oct. 30)... saw time in four conference games... Director's List Fall 2005 and Spring 2006...

2004... appeared in two games... played a season-high 12 minutes against Northern Colorado (Sept. 10)... also saw playing time against Oregon State (Sept. 26)... Director's List Fall 2004 and Spring 2005...

High School... graduated from South Pasadena High School in 2004 with a GPA of 3.6... was a four-year letterwinner in soccer and a two year letterwinner in track... was a four-time all-league performer, earning All-CIF honors in Division IV as a junior and senior... was the Rio Hondo League Defensive Player of the Year her final two seasons... was the team's MVP as a senior... led team to CIF co-Championship as a junior and to the league championship all four years... was given the President's Education Award, the California Scholastic Federation Award, made Dean's list and was named a Golden State Math Scholar-Athlete... took third in 100-meter, fifth in the 200-meter, fourth in the long jump and second in the 4x100 in the league meet... she and teammate Jamie Bell helped their club team, Crown City United Bayern, win the 2003 state championship...

Brandi Lee Young was born in Pasadena on Feb. 15, 1986... she is the daughter of Jayne and Gideon Young... has two brothers, Corey and Kevin... was active in volunteer work, including Happy Hats (for kids with cancer), in which she was the founder at her high school... competed against teammate Jamie Bell... a Communication Studies major.
