Lions Bid Farewell to 11-Member Senior Class

The 2013 LMU women's soccer season came to a close Saturday night as Sullivan Field as the Lions dropped a 1-0 decision to Wells Fargo PCH Cup and WCC rival Pepperdine.


Jagger Tallies Career-High 17 Saves Versus No. 9 Broncos

Senior goalkeeper Brittany Jagger made a career-high 17 saves as the LMU women's soccer team fell, 2-0, to No. 9 Santa Clara Friday night.


Lions Blanked By No. 25 BYU

Facing their fifth ranked opponent of the season, the LMU women's soccer team succumbed to a pair of second-half goals as it fell, 2-0, to No. 25 BYU Saturday at South Field in Provo, Utah.

The LMU women's soccer team heads out on the road for the first time in West Coast Conference play, beginning with the short trip to San Diego Thursday. Kick off in Torero Stadium is 7 p.m. On Saturday, the Lions face BYU in Provo, Utah, live on BYUtv.

Brittany Jagger concluded her fourth season in goal for LMU in 2013... departed LMU ranked No. 1 in career saves (335), No. 6 in career goals against average (1.32), No. 3 in wins (28) and No. 3 in shutouts (23)...

At LMU...

Started all 18 matches she appeared in... logged 1,608 minutes in goal... made 81 saves while conceding 37 goals for a 2.07 goals against average... earned shutout wins against Northeastern on Aug. 25 and UC Santa Barbara on Sept. 1...posted a career-high 17 saves on Nov. 1 at Santa Clara...

Started all 19 matches and played all 1,767 minutes... made 85 saves while allowing just 22 goals... had a 1.22 GAA and .780 save percentage... posted six shutouts for the second straight season... named WCC Player of the Week twice... the first was on Sept. 10 following a six-save performance in a 1-1 draw against No. 1 UCLA... the second honor was on Oct. 22 following an eight-save performance in a 3-0 upset of No. 15 Pepperdine... posted 12 saves, one off her career high, in a loss to Arizona State (Sept. 14)...

Started all 20 matches, playing 1,794 minutes... 94 saves ranks #3 all-time at LMU... six shutouts ranks in a tie for #10... had a 1.25 GAA and a .790 save percentage... posted a career-high 13 saves in a loss to #2 UCLA (Sept. 17)... that mark ranks #3 in LMU single-game history... also posted double-digit saves (10) at BYU (Oct. 20)...

Honorable Mention All-WCC... WCC All-Freshman Team... WCC Player of the Month (Sept.)... started all 18 games, playing every minute in goal (1,668:11 overall)... posted 0.76 goals-against-average, fourth-best in LMU history... registered nine shutouts, second-best in the WCC and third-most ever at LMU... 10 wins on the year are tied for fifth in a single-season in program history... made 75 saves at .843 percentage... made career-high 11 saves in registering first career shutout at Utah (Sept. 3)... posted three consecutive clean sheets vs. Utah State (Sept. 17), Penn (Sept. 19), and Arizona (Sept. 24)... went 5-2-0 in September with five shutouts... posted nine saves vs. #3 Notre Dame (Sept. 12)...
