Women's Soccer to Embark on 11-Day Europe Trip

The Lions will embark on an 11-day trip oversees, giving the squad an opportunity to experience different country's cultures and histories, tour some of the greatest soccer stadiums and facilities in the world and play foreign competition.


Women's Soccer Hosts Portland, Santa Clara in Final WCC Games

WCC play concludes this week for the Lions (7-8-2, 1-4-1 WCC) as they play host to Portland (7-8-1, 3-2-0 WCC) on Friday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. and Santa Clara (11-1-5, 4-0-1 WCC) on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m.


Late USD Goal Dooms Lions

The LMU women's soccer team fell 2-1 to University of San Diego as the Toreros scored the game-winner with just under five minutes to play Sunday.

A hard-fought battle between the Lions and Gonzaga Bulldogs ended in a scoreless tie in WCC women's soccer action Sunday at Sullivan Field.


Late Rally Comes Up Short in WCC Opener

A late second half push, capped by an Etajha Gilmer goal, left the LMU women's soccer team just short in its conference opener in a 2-1 final at San Francisco Friday.

Linda Bakker entered her freshman season at LMU in 2011...

At LMU...

One of five field players to start all 20 matches... logged 1,630 minutes... scored two goals and added a team-best four assists for eight points... attempted 19 shots, including seven on frame... both goals were scored in the same game,a 3-0 win over Cal State Bakersfield (Sept. 4)... also assisted the third goal scored in that match... assisted LMU's lone goal scored in a 3-1 loss to #2 UCLA (Sept. 17)... recorded an assist against UNLV (Oct. 2)... final assist of the season came in a 2-1 loss at San Diego (Oct. 23)...

High School...
Did not compete for high school team... played for Netherlands under-17 and under-19 national teams at the UEFA U-17 and U-19 Women's Championships... came within one game of helping U-17 team qualify for 2010 U-17 World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago... competed in the U-19 UEFA Women's Championships in Italy in June 2011, finishing third at the group stage... has made 12 appearances for her country, scoring four goals...
