Kellie Schroeder begins her fourth year in the Lions' program...has changed to a central defending role... expected to challenge for a starting position as a member of the Lion backline...very athletic physical player...has a very good touch on the ball...can score from either inside or outside of the box...has a good knowledge of the game... one of the top offensive weapons in LMU history, her 14 career goals is third all-time... her 30 career points is tied for seventh all-time...At LMU...

recorded second hat trick in school history, scoring three goals against Northern Colorado (Sept. 10)... earned WCC Player of the Week and LMU/Holiday Inn, LAX Tournament Offensive MVP honors for the accomplishment... LMU's second leading scorer on the year with five goals and two assists...

played in 19 games and started in 10...scored three goals on the year and finished with six points...took a total of 25 shots, 10 of which were on goal...tallied the game-winning goal against Oakland (Sept. 12)...

2002...
earned honorable mention All-West Coast Conference accolades...saw action in 20 games, starting in 17...led all Lion scorers with six goals, including two against USC...had game-winning goals against UC Irvine, Gonzaga, and USF...took 22 shots, 12 of which were shots on goal...tallied 12 points on the season, which led LMU...voted offensive MVP by her teammates...part of the Lions recruiting class that was ranked as the seventh best incoming class by Soccer Buzz magazine...

Schroeder is a 2002 graduate of Eldorado High School in Albuquerque, NM...earned four varsity letters in soccer...a three-time all-city, All-5A District and all-state selection...led squad to the state championship title in 1999 and 2001...prep coach was Steve Benoit.

Kellie Allison Schroeder was born on Nov. 3, 1983 in Albuquerque, NM...daughter of Gary and Mary Ann Schroeder...has one brother, Greg...club team was state champion in 2001 and 2002...also recruited by Notre Dame, Santa Clara and Arizona State...chose LMU because it offered a great education and had an excellent soccer program...enjoys working out and swimming...is a Communication Studies major.
