LOS ANGELES - LMU women's soccer moved to 2-0 on the young season with a 2-0 shutout of Cleveland State Sunday afternoon at Sullivan Field.

Callie Taylor netted her second goal of the season and Shannon Kent added an insurance score in the Lions' first shutout of the year.

The Lions dominated play from start to finish against the 0-2 Vikings, earning a 9-2 shot advantage in the first half and a 16-2 edge for the full 90 minutes.

Taylor, who scored LMU's game-winner on Friday night against New Mexico State, made it two games in a row with her strike at the 17-minute mark. Brianne Medved earned the assist on the goal as her far post shot from the top right corner of the 18 was redirected into the net by Taylor.

Kent added her first goal collegiate goal in the 60th minute with a one touch score from inside the six off a ball into the mix from Morgan Hilby.

In goal, Sophia Leksan recorded her first career shutout while improving to 2-0 on the season.

The Lions hit the road for their next three games, beginning with a trip to Oregon State (Fri., Aug. 29) and Oregon (Sun, Aug. 31).
