CORVALLIS, Ore. - The LMU women's soccer team hit the road for the first time this season, opening a three-game road trip with a 0-0 double overtime draw at Oregon State Friday night.

The Lions (2-0-1) held a substantial 27-14 shot advantage over the Beavers, but OSU goalkeeper Bella Geist came up huge with 14 saves in the match.

LMU goalkeeper Sophia Leksan earned her second straight shutout with five saves in the 110 minute match to keep her squad unbeaten on the year.

Jocelyn Blankenship led the Lions with seven shots while Shannon Kent, Morgan Hilby and Maddie Medved had five each.

The Lions were forced to play the final 40 minutes with 10 players after Kent was issued a red card just inside the 70-minute mark.

LMU will return to the pitch Sunday, facing its second straight Pac-12 opponent in the University of Oregon at 1 p.m. in Eugene.
