PROVO, Utah - Facing their fifth ranked opponent of the season, the LMU women's soccer team succumbed to a pair of second-half goals as it fell, 2-0, to No. 25 BYU Saturday at South Field in Provo, Utah.

Despite a season-high nine saves by LMU's Brittany Jagger, the Cougars, who are now 7-3 at home and 10-4-1 overall (3-1-0 WCC) , broke through twice in the second half. Cloee Colohan scored in the 59th minute off assists from Ashely Hatch and Rachel Manning. Ella Johnson added the insurance goal in the 71st minute, scoring off a corner kick by Marissa Nimmer.

BYU peppered the Lion defense with 27 shots while LMU managed six shots, including five on frame, that were saved by Cougar goalkeeper Erica Owens, who earned her seventh shutout of the year.

The Lions (3-12-0, 0-4-0 WCC) return home to host Saint Mary's on Friday in their annual Pink match. Kick off at Sullivan Field is scheduled for 7 p.m.
