PROVO, Utah – Nobody found the back of the net in the 110 minutes of action Saturday night, as LMU (6-6-4, 1-4-1 WCC) and BYU (5-6-4, 2-2-1 WCC) played to a scoreless West Coast Conference draw.
BYU more than doubled the number of shots that the Lions put up, 29-12 overall and 8-1 in the overtime periods, but goalkeeper Charlee Pruitt did not let anything through. Pruitt recorded her 12th career shutout and tied her career-high with 10 saves.
LMU fended off six Cougar corner kicks, including a pair in the double overtime session.
Offensively, Maddie Medved played the entire game and led the Lions with three shots.
The Lions return to Sullivan for the remainder of the regular season. LMU has a pair of games on the Bluff next weekend with Saint Mary’s coming in on Oct. 27 and Pacific coming to campus on Oct. 29. The season comes to a close with senior day on Nov. 4 against Gonzaga.
