LOS ANGELES - The 2013 LMU women's soccer season came to a close Saturday night as Sullivan Field as the Lions dropped a 1-0 decision to Wells Fargo PCH Cup and WCC rival Pepperdine.

The Waves' Kristin DeGrandmont scored in the 14th minute as she found a lose ball in the box following a corner kick and popped it into the net.

It was a disappointing end to a season of struggle for the Lions, who honored their 11-member senior class prior to kick off. Four-year starting goalkeeper Brittany Jagger and four-year starting forward Tawni Martino highlighted the graduating class. Jagger departs as the all-time leader in saves, while also ranking among LMU's best in wins and shutouts. Martino closed out her career with 19 goals, good for second most in LMU history.

Also honored Saturday night were Deprise Brazel, Megan Gallagher, Etajha Gilmer, Jenni Benger, Andrea Fisher, Darien Pyka, Rachel Fell, Carolyn Dunn and Shannon Ward.

The Lions finished with a slight 12-9 shot advantage over the Waves, including a game-high five from Martino. The senior put three shots on frame, but Pepperdine goalkeeper Hannah Seabert preserved her shutout with four total saves on the night.
