Sullivan Field, home to LMU's men's and women's soccer teams, recently underwent a major renovation which included removing old bleachers, installing new bleachers for nearly 1,000 fans, and purchasing a new scoreboard for the west side of the field. The new-look field is poised to serve the teams as they look to continue their winning records at home, but some upgrades remain, including the purchase of 12 speakers for a new sound system.

The men's soccer team finished its home play last year with a 4-3-1 record, while the women's team closed out the season with three straight wins on Sullivan Field for a 7-3-2 home record for the year. As the teams prepare to build upon those winning records in the 2018 season, the addition of a new sound system will help further improve the fan and player experience on Sullivan Field. The new system will include a sound rack and 12 speakers - eight that will service the fans in the bleachers and four that will provide sound on the field for the players.

By making a gift to the Sullivan Field Sound System Renovation project, you can be a part of this upgrade to benefit the men's and women's soccer teams and help them continue their pursuit of excellence. The campaign begins today, February 21, and runs through March 22.

LMU Men's and Women's Soccer have called Sullivan Field their home for more than a quarter century. In that time, both teams have winning records on Sullivan Field, with the women recording 16 winning seasons, resulting in three NCAA playoff appearances, including the most recent NCAA Sweet Sixteen finish in 2015. The men also have an impressive record at Sullivan Field - posting 10 winning seasons since 2000, resulting in two WCC Championships (2010 and 2013) and six NCAA playoff appearances.

The storied programs have benefited from the playing surface at Sullivan Field, one of the premier collegiate facilities on the West Coast. Notably, some of the top soccer teams in the world have used Sullivan Field as a training site in preparation for World Cup tournaments, Champions League play and various other international events. Teams that have trained on Sullivan Field include the Los Angeles Galaxy, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and a variety of other MLS and national teams. Sullivan Field has also served as a practice site for the annual Rose Bowl.
