LOS ANGELES - The LMU women's soccer program has announced its five-game 2013 spring schedule, which kicks off Sunday, March 17 and culminates on Saturday, April 27.

"This spring will be similar to last spring with a mix of opponents featuring both semi-pro women's teams and college teams," said LMU Head Coach Michelle Myers. "Spring is usually a time when our athletes spend more time in the weight room and in training versus playing real opponents so they are always happy to get back onto the game field."

The Lions open spring play on Sunday, hosting the LA Vikings of the Women's Premier Soccer League. Kick off at Sullivan Field is scheduled for 1 p.m.

LMU's lone road spring game is Saturday, March 23 at Cal State Fullerton (4 p.m.). The squad returns home to host the So Cal Blues of the WPSL on Saturday, April 13 at 11 a.m., USC on Sunday, April 21 at 11 a.m. and Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday, April 27 at 9 a.m.

Following the morning match against the Broncos, LMU will host its annual alumni match, kicking off at 1 p.m.

"As coaches, we are excited to see how players step up to fill the shoes of the seniors that have graduated, as well as, try some players in different roles to see how they do," added Myers. "And of course, we are always excited every spring to welcome back our alumni and their families to reconnect with them both on and off the field."
