Women's Soccer Announces 2012 Spring Schedule

March 21, 2012

LOS ANGELES - First-year LMU women's soccer head coach Michelle Myers has announced her squad's 2012 spring game schedule, all culminating with a trip to Europe in May.

The Lions opened spring competition last Saturday against San Diego State and coming up next will be a match-up against the club team LA Strikers, taking place Sunday, March 25. Kick off is 10 a.m. at Sullivan Field. Following the game, LMU will host its first "Train Like A Lion" clinic open to all boys and girls ages 5-12.

Additional spring matches include a March 30, 5 p.m. meeting at Cal State Northridge and an April 14, 10 a.m. meeting with the club team AJAX at Sullivan Field. The Lions will then close things out with a doubleheader of sorts on April 21, taking on a Lion alumni side at 10:30 a.m. followed by a match with Cal Poly Pomona at 2:30 p.m.

Applications are still being accepted for the "Train Like A Lion" clinic on March 25. Those interested should contact assistant coach Joslyn Slovek at 310-338-7566 or lmusoccer@lmu.edu. All proceeds from the clinic will go towards the funding of the Lions' trip to Europe.
