LOS ANGELES - Yet another member of the Orange County crew who will join the LMU women's soccer team in the fall is Natalie Rockwell, a defender from Beckman High School in Irvine, Calif. Rockwell is a high school and club teammate of fellow incoming freshman, Nikki Martino. The Beckman team was League Champions and CIF and State Finalists in Rockwell's freshman season. Rockwell was first team All-Pacific League as a sophomore and was her team's Defensive MVP and team captain for two years.
"Natalie is defender that has experience at both outside defender and center back, and will add needed depth to those positions," said Head Coach Michelle Myers. "She comes from a good soccer background, has played at the highest level of club soccer and has defended against some great players so she knows what to expect at the next level."
Rockwell played club soccer under the tutelage of Greg Baker for the Breakaway and So Cal Blues Soccer Clubs. Rockwell's club team was the Surf Cup Champion along with winning Cal South and Regional Championships and placing third in the nation. Her team is currently the top ranked team in Southern California.
