LOS ANGELES - Girls ages 13 and up are invited to "Train Like a Lion" with LMU women's soccer on August 2, 2014.
LMU's "Train Like a Lion" clinics are designed to give the best possible experience and education for players aspiring to play at the college level. This one-day camp exposes players to the life of a Division I collegiate athlete at LMU and help participants identify specific areas of improvement to catch the attention of college coaches in the recruiting process.
The first of two sessions during the day focuses on functional training and players will be training in specific match-related components of the game. In the second session, players can showcase their abilities in 8v8 and/or 11v11 competition. Clinic participants will also have the unique experience of seeing the LMU campus and meeting members of our current squad.
"I am excited to extend an invitation for you to join our Elite ID clinic on Saturday, August 2," said Head Coach Michelle Myers. "Our clinic is limited to just 50 players, so if you would like to attend, log on and register today to avoid missing out on the opportunity to 'Train Like a Lion!'"
