Jagger Named WCC Player of the Week
SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Junior goalkeeper Brittany Jagger has been named the West Coast Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for September 10, 2012. On Friday, Jagger had six huge saves as the Lions drew a 1-1 tie at then-No. 1 UCLA. The draw was the best result the Lions have had against a No. 1 ranked opponent in program history. On Sunday, she recorded five saves and picked up her third shutout of the season as LMU topped Idaho State, 2-0. For the week, Jagger made 11 saves (.917 save %) and allowed just one goal. Jagger has played every minute in goal for the Lions this season, compiling a 1.21 GAA and a 5-2-1 record. She has made 25 saves for a .714 save percentage. The five wins thus far this season gives her 21 for her career, moving her into a three way tie for third on LMU's career wins list. Jagger also ranks fourth in career shutouts with 18.
