Briefly...Molly Medeiros enters her third season with the Lions... the reigning PCSC Pitcher of the Year looks to have another stellar season.

At LMU...

2011...The 2011 PCSC Pitcher of the Year, Medeiros had a breakout season in 2011...a First Team All PCSC and four time PCSC Pitcher of the week (Mar 22, April 19, May 4, May 11) Molly was the driving force behind the Lions bullpen...made 39 appearances in 2011, starting 23 and pitching 18 complete games including a 10inning marathon against Sacramento State (April 22)...finished 16-8 with a 2.01 ERA...Medeiros had 5 shutouts and had 103 strikeouts on the season...looking to capitalize on the success of last season and make her way into the Lions and the PCSC record books...

2010...PCSC Coastal Division Pitcher of the Week (Apr. 26)... rebounded from 0-4 start to the year to finish 8-9 with a save... posted 4.29 ERA in 114.1 innings... made 18 starts in 29 appearances... tossed seven complete games and two shutouts... struck out 57 batters... was 4-3 with 3.32 ERA and three complete games in PCSC play... became second pitcher in LMU history to start conference play 4-0... registered first career victory with complete-game four-hitter and six strikeouts vs. Bucknell (Mar. 18)... followed it up with complete-game two-hit shutout of Utah Valley (Mar. 19)... struck out career-high seven in victory over North Dakota (Mar. 20)... tied career-high with seven strikeouts at San Diego (May 2)... threw five-hit shutout with three strikeouts and no walks vs. Santa Clara (Apr. 25)... won both starts and picked up a victory in relief to go 3-0 in PCSC opening weekend at Cal State Bakersfield (Apr. 10-11)... picked up save with 2.1 innings of relief vs. UNLV (Mar. 26)...

High School...Three-year letterwinner for Coach Kevin Newman at Presentation High School in San Jose, Calif.... named San Jose Mercury News Senior of the Year... batted .407 and went 23-5, striking out 259 batters with a 0.65 ERA as a senior... tossed a perfect game, three no-hitters, and eight one-hitters... three-time first team all-league... two-time first team all-county... named first team all-state... Central Coast Section Scholar Athlete... started high school career with one season at Archbishop Mitty High School, where she went 9-1 as a pitcher and helped school to CCS Division II championship...

Personal...Molly Yvonne Medeiros was born in San Jose, Calif.... parents are Joseph and Deanna Medeiros... has an older sister, Danelle, and a younger brother, Joey... chose LMU over Fresno State, Pacific, San Diego, Portland, Wisconsin, and North Carolina... cites LMU as "always my first choice"... enjoys helping the elderly in her free time... majoring in finance...
