Freshman, Senior Lead LMU in DH Split

Freshman Sydney Gouveia fanned a school record 22 batters and senior Danielle Smith knocked in the game-winning run as LMU topped Utah Valley 2-1 in 10 innings. The Wolverines won game two, 1-0.

Regular Season Finale Versus Utah Valley

The PCSC title is still up for grabs and among the deciding series this week is the Lions' match-up on Saturday and Sunday against Utah Valley. The two squads sit tied for second at 13-7, and two games back of BYU (15-5). Saturday's doubleheader begins at 10 a.m. while Sunday's regular season finale is scheduled for noon at Smith Field.

2013...Eared 50 starts at first base and appeared in 51 of the Lions' 56 games... hit .218 with 31 hits in 142 at-bats... one double, seven home runs and 22 RBIs on the season... nine multi-hit games... All-PCSC Honorable Mention selection...

2012...Earned 22 starts and appeared in 25 total games, primarily as the catcher or designated hitter... All-PCSC Coastal Division Honorable Mention selection... hit .338 for the season with 13 runs, 26 RBIs, two doubles, two triples and four home runs... went 2-for-3 with a home run and 5 RBIs against Iowa State (Mar. 14)... went 2-for-2 with a double, home run and 6 RBIs against Sacramento State (Apr. 15)...
