The LMU softball team gave its seniors a fitting farewell by sweeping a pair of games from Utah Valley, 5-3 and 2-1, Sunday at Smith Field.
The PCSC title is still up for grabs and among the deciding series this week is the Lions' match-up on Saturday and Sunday against Utah Valley. The two squads sit tied for second at 13-7, and two games back of BYU (15-5). Saturday's doubleheader begins at 10 a.m. while Sunday's regular season finale is scheduled for noon at Smith Field.

PCSC Pitcher of the Year after going a perfect 10-0 with 1.06 ERA and six shutouts in conference play... went 21-10 with 1.99 ERA in 36 appearances... tossed 22 complete games... set the LMU single season record for strikeouts for the second straight season with 227... the had six outings of 10+ strikeouts... tossed complete-game no-hitter with 13 strikeouts against Northern Colorado... had 23 appearances in which she conceded four or fewer hits... threw three two-hitters and three one-hitters... registered an eight-inning one-hitter in win over Cal State Fullerton... won 11 consecutive starts from March 27-May 18... beat UCLA with complete game four-hitter in NCAA Tournament... struck out 13 in complete-game three-hitter vs. Miami (OH)... had 13 strikeouts in two-hitter against Hawai'i... struck out 11 against both UC Riverside and Tennessee-Martin... tossed complete-game three-hitter in which she struck out 10 against Portland State... won four straight starts via shutout from April 21-29, allowing a combined nine hits and three walks while striking out 32...
Broke the LMU single season record for strikeouts with 205... now sits in second place in career strikeouts... two-time PCSC Pitcher of the Week... earned the honor in her first week of the season, going 2-1 in the Hawaii Tournament... she did not allow an earned run in 23.2 innings of work... she allowed just one extra base hit, and opponents hit just .133 against her en route to earning All-Tournament honors... named Pitcher of the Week in the first weekend of PCSC play after pitching two shutouts of Sacramento State... allowed just three hits with no walks in 14.0 innings, striking out 12 and allowing one hit in the opening game... finished the season with a 14-14 record with 20 complete games and six shutouts... she also recorded two saves... pitched 185.0 innings with 205 strikeouts... opponents hit just .213 against her... five double digit strikeout games, including a career-high 13 against Mercer in a three-hit complete game shutout on March 8th...pitched a one-hit, 10 strikeout shutout of Pennsylvania on March 7th... prior to the final weekend of the season, she allowed just two home runs in 33 appearances... second in the PCSC in strikeouts and innings pitched... finished with a 5-7 record and 3.31 ERA in PCSC play... pitched seven complete game while appearing in 16 of the team's 20 games...

PCSC Pitcher of the Week three times, including the last two weeks of the regular season... lowered her ERA to 0.50 in PCSC games, going 7-1 in 11 appearances (seven starts)... recorded eight shutouts on the season, good enough to move into 6th place in the LMU career shutout charts... led the team in wins, shutouts, innings pitched, strikeouts, complete games, games started, appearances and saves...allowed hitters to bat just .208 against her in the regular season...allowed only three home runs and eight doubles in the regular season... started her career with a bang, tossing a complete game shutout against Notre Dame in the Palm Springs Class (2-25-05) to help LMU to its first win of the season...tossed another complete game shutout against the Irish just two weeks later (3-6-05)... helped LMU to its biggest win of the year, allowing just un unearned run in the 4-1 win over #24 Arizona State (3-14-05)... struck out a career-high 10 Sun Devils to give LMU its first win over a ranked opponent in two years...pitched a no-hitter against UC Santa Barbara, striking out six batters and walking just one to guide LMU to a 1-0 win (3-23-05)... allowed no earned runs in 17 of her 28 appearances... pitched in six one-run victories, picking up four wins and one save in those six games...did not allow a run in her last four appearances of the regular season (17.2 innings, 10 hits, 14 strikeouts)... did not allow home run until her 14th appearance of the season... allowed earned runs in just two conference appearances... two of her losses came when the Lion offense was shutout (a 1-0 loss to #16 Florida and a 4-0 loss to #25 Long Beach State).
Attended Temecula Valley High School in Temecula, CA... lettered in softball all four years of high school... was the team MVP her junior and senior years... was All-Southwest League and All-City in 2003 and 2004... was First Team All-league in 2003 and 2004... was recruited by Florida State and Virginia...
Born July 11, 1986 to Susan and Michael Pagano... has two sisters, Bridgette and Mia, and one brother, Nick... chose LMU for the beautiful campus... a Business Management major.
