Lions Take Two From Gaels

Playing at their own Smith Field where they had previously appeared just five times this season, the LMU softball team took care of business with a doubleheader sweep of Pacific Coast Softball Conference rival Saint Mary's, 3-2 and 5-1, Saturday.

The LMU softball team improved its season record to an even .500 (11-11) and closed out play at the USF Under Armour Showcase 4-1 with a 2-1 victory over Northwestern early Sunday morning.

The LMU softball team opened play at the USF Under Armour Showcase with a pair of come-from-behind wins, topping Penn State 4-2 early in the day before earning a 9-4 win over Long Island Friday.

Jordan Lee Price was born Nov. 8, 1994 in Van Nuys, Calif.... parents are Tracey and Stanley Price... has one younger brother, Thomas... has volunteered with the Sunrise Little League Challenged Division helping physically challenged children play baseball... also volunteered with Heal the Bay, the Mona Foundation (helping abused women in Africa) and the Light the Night Leukemia Foundation... chose LMU because of its location, excellent reputation, education and psychology department... majoring in psychology...
