Postseason awards continue to pour in for senior shortstop Sam Fischer who was named to the NFCA All-West Region second team.
Four total Lions were named to the 2012 All-Pacific Coast Softball Conference teams.

2012...PCSC Coastal Division Second Team selection... started all 53 games at first base... hit at a .271 clip... recorded a dozen extra-base hits including one double and 11 home runs... knocked in 43 runs while scoring 24 of her own... eight multi-hit games including a 3-for-5 performance against Saint Joseph's (Mar. 10)... 11 multi-RBI games including three four-RBI outings...
2011...All-West Region Second Team and PCSC Coastal Division Second Team honoree... PCSC Coastal Division Player of the Week three times (Mar. 22, April 13, May 4)... set PCSC and school records with 18 home runs and 59 RBI to go along with a .308 average... hit eight homers with 25 RBI and became the first player in PCSC history to homer three times in a game done against Cal State Bakersfield (April 30), a game in which she also tied the LMU single-game record with seven RBI... finished the 2011 season with a .308 average playing and starting every game, mostly as the designated player...
2010...Second Team All-PCSC Coastal Division... batted .287 (37-for-129) with eight doubles, five home runs, and 23 RBI... slugged .465... drew eight walks and scored 12 runs... came alive during conference play with .302 average, four home runs and 15 RBI... drove in four runs with 3-for-3, two-homer day vs. Santa Clara (Apr. 24)... hit three-run home run in game one at Saint Mary's and drove in game-winning run on walk-off single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh in game two (Apr. 18)... went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI, and run scored vs. UC Davis (Mar. 5)... was 2-for-2 with a double, RBI, and two runs scored vs. Bucknell (Mar. 19)... doubled twice and drove in a run at Saint Mary's (Apr. 17)... hit game-winning sacrifice fly in the ninth inning and was 2-for-4 vs. Kent State (Feb. 12)...
2009...Second Team All-PCSC as a freshman... started 41 of her 47 appearances... hit for a .282 average, good for fifth-best on the team, and was tied for third on the team with eight home runs... second on the squad with 31 runs batted in... hit seven doubles... third on the team with a .532 slugging percentage... had a career high 15 putouts vs. Wright State on Feb. 27, 2009... had 11 multiple-RBI games, good for second best on the team... hit .667 (6-for-9) with seven RBI, a double, four walks, and home runs in three straight games at Santa Clara (April 10-11, 2009)...

Four-year letterwinner at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, CA... team captain her junior and senior seasons... hit .571 her senior season and was named Medium School All-State... four-time All-Diablo Foothill Athletic League selection... named team Best Offensive Player, Best Defensive Player, and Most Valuable Player... inducted into the Northgate HS Athletic Hall of Fame... member of the Nor Cal Shockers... played in the 2007 ASA Gold Nationals, hitting .432 for her travel ball team...
Personal...Kelly Joy Sarginson was born on September 15, 1990, in Walnut Creek, CA... parents are Jan and Scott Sarginson... nickname is "K-Sarge"... has two older brothers, J.D. and Brad... chose LMU over Long Beach State and Liberty because of its challenging academics, acceptance of religious views, and softball program... travels to Mexico for a week each year to volunteer at an orphanage... majoring in elementary education...
