Sophomore Sterling Shuster was named the PCSC co-Player of the Year and freshman Sydney Gouveia was tabbed as the PCSC Pitcher of the Year.

Seniors Go Out In Style

The LMU softball team gave its seniors a fitting farewell by sweeping a pair of games from Utah Valley, 5-3 and 2-1, Sunday at Smith Field.

Regular Season Finale Versus Utah Valley

The PCSC title is still up for grabs and among the deciding series this week is the Lions' match-up on Saturday and Sunday against Utah Valley. The two squads sit tied for second at 13-7, and two games back of BYU (15-5). Saturday's doubleheader begins at 10 a.m. while Sunday's regular season finale is scheduled for noon at Smith Field.

Lions Drop 8-4 Decision to No. 15 UCLA

A middle-inning rally came up just short for the LMU softball team Wednesday as it dropped its final non-conference game of the season, 8-4, to crosstown rival and No. 15/17 ranked UCLA at the Bruins' Easton Stadium.

2012...Earned the starting roll at second base as a rookie... hit .228 with 39 hits, including a pair of doubles and one home run... also scored 29 times and drove in 16 runs... laid down 13 sacrifice hits... first collegiate hit was against UC Davis (Feb. 10) - the Lions' second game of the year... had eight multi-hit games including a 4-for-6 outing against Cal State Northridge (Mar. 24)...

High School...Four-year letterwinner and two year captain for La Salle High School under coach Mike Harper...bat .351 with 76 runs and 88 RBIs...CIF Champions 2010, All-CIF First Team, 2010...La Salle High School all time RBI and Doubles leader...Three time All-Area San Gabriel Valley and three time Del Rey All-League...Graduated Magna Cum Laude...
