03/28/2011 SB Marina International Hotel Showcase - March 15-19, 2011SB Marina International Hotel Showcase - March 15-19, 2011 Photos by Scott Cunningham Chelsie Tysdal returned to the LMU softball coaching staff in 2010 following a successful playing career for the Lions. One of the most decorated players in LMU history, Tysdal helped the Lions to the PCSC title and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2007. A catcher, Tysdal finished her four-year career fourth on the school's home run (27) and runs batted in (117) rankings and sixth in slugging percentage (.495). In 2008, she posted one of the best all-around seasons ever at LMU and in the PCSC as she set the school's single-season record with 50 RBI while hitting .382 with a conference-best 11 home runs in earning First Team All-PCSC and Second Team NFCA All-Pacific Region honors. In 2009, Tysdal set a PCSC record by hitting a home run in four consecutive games from February 5-7. She finished that season hitting .300 with eight home runs and 30 RBI and was named Second Team All-PCSC. A native of San Diego, Tysdal graduated from Scripps Ranch High School in 2005 and earned her bachelor's degree from LMU in 2009. She is currently pursuing her MBA from LMU. |
