Amanda Dirks single to see the first run score, followed by a left field double by Alicia Brown. LMU’s offence was quieted until the 4th. Brooke Christensen earned a walk to begin the inning, she made her way to third thanks to her teammates moving her over. During the next at bat, with no hesitation Christensen took off from third and stole home.
When the game resumed Sunday, Dirks walked to begin the inning for the Lions. Alex Finie came to the plate with a runner on second and blasted a homerun over the left field wall. The Lions scored 7 runs but proved not enough in the 12-7 decision against the DePaul.
